A Caring Community Lender

“The Genesis Fund's involvement in this project really rounded it out. Their support makes opportunities like this possible.”
-Tia Anderson, Executive Director, Midcoast Habitat for Humanity

Genesis connects communities to capital, breaking down systemic barriers to prosperity and opportunity.

Genesis is a caring, creative, flexible lender.

We’re here to help. Borrowing from Genesis is often the solution when traditional lenders are unable to support community projects.

Like other Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), Genesis has a track record of stepping up to assist where other lenders can’t or won’t.

Where does the money we loan come from? Investment in the Genesis Fund comes from government grants, private foundations, and other institutional and business sources as well as individuals.

As borrowers repay loans over time, the Genesis Fund “revolves” investment into more projects.

The fact is, it’s our donors and investors who make essential community projects happen.
