Redevelopment Expands Access
With early financing from Genesis, the Nashua Housing and Redevelopment Authority is taking bold steps to more than double housing opportunities by replacing 110 aging public housing units with 273 new, energy-efficient affordable homes.
The Maynard Homes redevelopment project will feature 1–4-bedroom homes in a walkable, mixed-income neighborhood. It will offer green space, a fitness center, daycare, and access to support services. All current residents will be welcomed back to new homes. Genesis sees this redevelopment as a catalyst for broader impact, helping combat a housing crisis in New Hampshire that is driving up rents and deepening workforce shortages.
“We are building a future where families have access to safe, affordable housing, and a community that thrives as a place of opportunity and growth for all,” said Lynn Lombardi, Nashua Housing and Redevelopment Authority’s executive director.
“The Maynard Homes redevelopment project is a step towards addressing Nashua’s housing affordability crisis and promoting a better quality of life for families in need of affordable and stable housing.”
The Maynard redevelopment project exemplifies what it looks like when local action meets urgent statewide need—making room for more people to live, work, and thrive in Nashua.
